You will be accompanied into an exam room by one of our staff members who will assess your vital signs. Patients are sent a paperwork package before their first appointment which helps us to evaluate their pain.  
 
The first appointment will involve an initial evaluation consisting of 

• Review of medical records 
• Complete medical history 
• Pain oriented physical examination 

The pain problem will be discussed, and a plan of pain management will be agreed upon and managed on an outpatient basis.
