Muse 9: Cover Artist

                 Setting Out, Marian Roth  

Marian Roth lives and works in Provincetown, Massachusetts. A self-taught
artist, she received a Guggenheim Fellowship for her pinhole photography in 2000
and has recently been exhibiting her paintings and lithographs at the Kobalt Gallery
in Provincetown. Marian holds a PhD in Political Science and taught at Syracuse
University from 1968-1973, where she met Bonnie St. Andrews, with whom
she enjoyed a deep and enduring friendship. Her painting Setting Out is dedicated
to Bonnie.
