CEAD Education for Medical Professionals

The Center of Excellence for Alzheimer's Disease provides educational activities, including:

  • Seminars
  • Lectures and workshops by faculty

The CEAD partners with the Central New York Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, to provide coordinated educational and support services to caregivers, share staff training.

Foundation for Healthy Aging (FHA)

A national non-profit organization established in 1999 by the American Geriatrics Society, the Foundation aims to build a bridge between the research and practice of Geriatrics and the Public, and to advocate on behalf of older adults and their special health care needs.

FHA Physician Referral Service

If you would like a list of physicians in your area who are sensitive to the special health care needs of older adults, you may call the FHA at 800 563-4916.

All physicians participating in the referral service are members of the American Geriatrics Society (AGS) and are board-certified in either Family Practice (FP) or Internal Medicine (IM).
